1 Baby in a 1,000,000 04/29/2010
Beautiful eyes right? According to recent Studies, the chances of an Afro-American baby with blue eyes being born are 1 in a million. There are “brown” people with light eyes, usually light brown, green or gray, but they also share the Anglo-Saxon characteristics such as pug nose and Light hair, but a baby with all the physical characteristics of the afro-American race with blue eyes was almost impossible. Seems like Globalization is working right? It will be more common to see mixes like this one day after day. This baby has 19 months now and since he was 12 months old got a full contract and a life insurance with Paramount Pictures; you will see him in movies, commercials and magazines very soon! I don't believe that is true. I have two aunts who are full black and have blue eyes. It's not that rare. I also have black relatives with green eyes. Maybe not that crystal clear blue but still blue. It's very interesting looking though. When you see them you just stop and can't help but stare at their eyes. Kim 04/29/2010 2:49pm

the actor michael ealy has african-american features & light blue eyes & my grandmother's friend from the west indies was very dark skinned with blue eyes so, it seems that many of us have seen this rare occurrence more than once. Jenni 04/29/2010 8:31pm
OMG, what a gorgeous child!!!! I would love to have those eyes naturally! COntacts are a pain :) It's not impossible I seen a man blacker then midnight with the greenist eyes in the world. It's called recessive genes. I also know a family all black people with no white features with the brightest eyes ever. They were blue,green, grey and any other color you could think of. My dad is dark as midnight and his eyes crystal blue on the outer edge and dark brown in the center. I also have a cousin with dark skin with one green eye and one blue eye. I have seen many African Americans with Blue eyes and Alarming White Gray eyes! My Cousins Grand Mother was very dark skinned with bright blue eyes and my friends eyes are so light grey they look white and he has brown skin. It all beautiful!! the one 05/01/2010 5:35am

@jyfyigvyh.....What do you know???I knew a girl dark as midnight (BEAUTIFUL skin/complexion) with ice blue eyes in my mother's country of Trinidad where I once lived and went to school.This was in the early 80's...way before colored contacts were even thought of. Lol I like it When Whites make seems that certain in only found in their groups.When it happened to others it considered rare. African people are the most diverse group.I have a friend who is from Africa,no White mixed and she has green eyes.She said you will many Africans with no White admixtures with light eyes. Ok people leave the poor lil boy alone lol well it isn't that rare to have this color eye it is just passed down through generation witch has to do with a gene trait.. no one in my family has blonde hair and my nephew came out with light skin and blonde hair ...and brown eyes with blue around the edge is normal a lot of people do get that it has to do with aging and not only do afro amercans get that there are other people that get the bleu around brown eyes too. I just wanted to express my oppinion so dnt take it personal lol I just work in a hospital and study stuff that has to do with this. ladyE 12/17/2011 3:44pm
