I just don’t understand how people are sooo afraid to be their own person. I mean, who cares what other people think? Seriously. I’m so frustrated lately with people who do things just because other people are doing them. Get your own life style! It’s just so annoying seeing all these FAKE people out there…(I’m sorry if this is offending anybody). I’m serious though… For example: Why people take sayings off my page, profile, blogs, Facebook and then put it in their info. It’s like, “Wow. You really are lame.” It’s one thing if these people actually know who I am, or deal with me like that! These people who I like to refer to as, “profile-stealer” have no lives. They only want people to think they are cool and/or feel sorry for them because they dont have cool/emotional info about themselves. These people need to seriously get lives, cuz I’m starting to get really annoyed. Why do so many people always have to do what others are doing? Is it because they are afraid of being their own person and saying “no?” I think it is. Attitudes And Personality- First of all, nowadays, I barely know anyone who is real. What I mean by real is, well, people with personality… their own personality, and people who don’t just go along with something… people that have an opinion(s), etc… I mean, I don’t know about anyone else, but right away I can tell when a person is fake. I don’t know what it is about them, but normally there is just something fishy about the certain individual. I mean…I’ve realized this - Most of my “friends” have turned out to be fake. Like… many of them have actually done a really good job of pretending…. pretending to be my friend… but in reality, they were just fake people, who ended up screwing me over and hurting me over and over again. I can’t even count how many times my so-called “friends” turned out to be fake, but made me think for the longest time that they were real… and fun to hang around. Come on people, in reality… well at least in this present time, it’s hard to find real, true friends… ones that won’t screw you over, and make you feel like shit, and like you’re worthless and make you cry over and over again. Let’s just say I can count the number of true friends that I have on a couple of fingers… Just A COUPLE OF FINGERS! *You know who you guys are…thanks for never screwing me over like everyone else and always being there for me.* Relaunching "Miss Heel Talk" 08/25/2011
It's been awhile since I've blogged on Fashion. It's one of the things I love the most. New Notes: Christian Louboutins; although I've been wearing them for years, when I first noticed them in Sex and The City, when Miranda first gave birth, it was Carrie (who pronounced the name of the shoe wrong) wearing them. I noticed a lot of replicas, and boy... the replicas are good. But I see too many non-factoring people wearing them. (not my steelo) so I'm moving to something new. I have my eyes on Nicholas Kirkwoods, YSLs, Giuseppe Zanotti, Balenciagas and the late Alexander McQueen. Clothes; my father always told me, "Never love someone or something that cant love me back." You would think I would follow his logic but nope, I'm a material girl to the heart. Stay tuned to some eye soring fashion on Miss Heel Talk! Since you came into my life, I've been so happy. The fact that we're a thousand miles apart is not a matter at all because you are always in my heart. You told me that I'm the right one. I cannot tell you how good that felt. Catching Up 08/09/2011
Things, people and places since my last blog. Teddi and Louie sleep. Well Teddi sleep and Louie being the annoying little brother. Louie down with the planking movement. Cant Imagine a day without my Teddi. This was a fun day at the beach. Nice picnic with wine and fruit. Coming home and seeing them like that makes me smile. Teddi mean mugging Club Scenes with Jazz I don't have haters, I have fans. Funny Faces with my nephew! Trying BlondieWhoever thought Vixens weren’t cool on kicks must not have experienced a gorgeous girl when she’s just chillin’. It’s very often that once the work is done and the heels come off, a Vixen slips into a fly pair of Jordans or the latest Nike or Adidas (is Reebok back yet?) to relax or run errands. We can’t go on record and say every Vixen loves the Jordan 3′s or the Cool Grey’s (@missjournalism’s fave), but a grown woman about her business should never shy away from throwing on sweats a great kick. Whether it’s to workout or stunt, work it into your wardrobe somehow–trust us. We teamed up with Atlanta Got Sole, one of the city’s high quality marketing platforms that gets the scoop on kicks before the masses! Showing off the latest sneaker must-haves was easy with model Ily McMillan, who kicked it in the boutique-styled Atlanta Perimeter Hotel Suites. As the Vixen model rocked exclusive sneaks, she donned threads by American Apparel and Roxy and accessories by Tuxedo Dames, Boss Bracelets and Ray Ban. Don’t miss this gallery–Click the numbers NOW! I love my Dogs and My Dogs Love Me! 04/08/2011
I would NEVER say having a dog is the same as having a child or children. It’s not. I would also never say being a parent is easy. I respect parents so much. But, personally, I feel there are definitely *similarities between having a child and having a dog. Loving, responsible pet owners absolutely go through “child-like” experiences with their animals. When Teddi was a puppy, I woke up in the night almost every half hour to let him out to the bathroom. This went on for more than a month. No, it’s not the exact same as a child, but I also lost A LOT of sleep Recently, Louie was sick, he had an upper respiratory infection. I got three hours of sleep while I stayed up with him all night as he threw up. Guess who got to clean up the mess? Then, first thing in the morning I took him to the vet which cost me around 160.00. When your child is sick you can take a sick day, but it’s frowned upon if you want to take a sick day to stay with my dog at the veterinarian’s office. I take Teddi and Louie for regular veterinary visits. He visits the vet more often than I visit the doctor. Yes, I often put the needs of my dog before my own, just like a parent does for a child. No, Teddi and Louie doesn’t need braces or a college education, but I still provide for them. I have to make sure they have food and water, bathed, nails get trimmed, that they goes outside, get exercise, have toys to play with and that they have a safe and secure place to live. No, it’s not easy having children. On the same note, it’s also not always easy having pets. Children are welcome many more places than pets. You can take children into stores, to the movies, almost anywhere you want to go. Pet owners can’t do that. Yes, it is socially acceptable to leave pets alone without a sitter, I understand you wouldn’t simply leave a child home alone. BUT, just because I leave Cubbie home when I’m at work doesn’t mean I don’t feel guilty. I absolutely hate it. I’m willing to bet most parents also feel guilty about leaving children while they go to work. Just as parents love children and children love parents, I love my dogs and my dogs loves me. That unconditional love is the best love in the world. As children make parents laugh, my dog makes me laugh. Just as parents look forward to coming home to children, I look forward to coming home to my dog. I believe each person is entitled to his or her own opinion. You don’t have to agree with me on this issue, but don’t tell me I’m wrong. Each person feels a certain way for a reason. My reason for treating my dogs like child is extremely personal to me, one that most people don’t know. |
